FILLET MACHINE
Thank you to the volunteers who spents many hours modifying, wiring and prepping the fillet machine for use. With the dramatic increase in the amount of fish we are recieving the operation of the fillet machine will save countless manhours. Volunteers, groups and individuals, are always needed to assist in all phases of the ministry.
Praise God, we have been receiving semi truck loads of produce from a local food distribution warehouse. This is enabling us to provide additional food to more food banks. The Yelm Prairie Christian Center has been added to our family of food bank sites. Because of the increase in produce and the influx of other non perishable food, we are in the process of developing a distribution center. Please pray for God’s direction, blessings and provision as we continue to expand.
With weekly pickups we are in need of people with CDL’s to help drive the semi. Mechanics are needed to provide support and maintenance to the additional vehicles needed for the fish ministry. As more hatcheries are being added to the Faith Harvest Helpers family we have a desperate need for drivers to help pick up the fish. Volunteers are needed for sorting and transporting the produce and other food items for distribution to our food bank sites.
Thank you to the many volunteers who faithfully labor alongside one another to feed and grow the body of Christ. Your prayers and dedication are a sweet fragrance to the Lord. Come back often and don’t be afraid to bring a friend.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST! Things are going great here at Faith Harvest Helpers. As we enter the 2009 season we are excited to see how the LORD will show himself faithful to Faith Harvest Helpers and our partners. We recieve the approval from the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife to recieve excess fish as of January 7, 2009.
Our dear friend and partner Don Putz has spent days working on the plant to get it ready for this years canning season. New sheetrock, paint, and tile have gone in. Thanks Don for working so hard in Jesus Name.
It is always a blessing to be able to work with so many of you who have a heart to serve. Your hard work provides many the opportunity to hear the gospel of Jesus. We are attempting to purchase a filet machine and new toes to start the season. Please pray that we can be a blessing to the people of Lacey and around the world. May God bless you as only He can.
We are in need of a commercial canning system, known as a retort. This will enable us to process even more fish.
Volunteers are always needed for sorting and processing food and fish.
During the last six months we have shipped salmon to Cambodia, Ukraine, and Mexico. Many recieved JESUS as LORD and Savior in Cambodia. Our local focus consists of two food banks, one located in Lacey, WA and one located in Redmond, OR. We receive excess fish from the State of Washington which is distributed as frozen fillets through these food banks and other local feeding programs. Our food banks strive to provide staples, dairy products, fresh produce and meat, as well as canned goods. By networking our food banks together we strive to provide a balanced diet to those in need.
We partner with Gleanings for the Hungry whose main focus is supplying dehydrated fruit, soup mix and other non-pershiable food.
Our staff has completed the necessary training and is USFDA certified.
